A real EDC blade gets carried, ignored, and trusted. It needs to disappear into your day until you reach for it — then perform like every cut matters.
What we look for
- Compact blade. Long enough for serious cutting; short enough to carry discreetly. POLHEIM at 100 mm and KOSMOS at 85 mm are TRC's reference points.
- Weight under 170 g with sheath. Enough to give you peace of mind, not too much to weigh you down.
- Stainless or DLC-coated steel. EDC sees rain, sweat, and neglect. MagnaCut and M390 thrive here.
- Deep-carry sheath. Most TRC Knives ship with handmade Kydex sheathes equipped with Ulticlip — some models carry their own model-specific sheath.
- Hand-finished edge. A knife you carry every day deserves an edge that respects you.
